What Are Solid Lubricant Bushings?

Solid lubricant bushings have emerged as a crucial component in various industrial applications, revolutionizing the way machinery operates. These innovative components offer a range of benefits that traditional lubrication methods can’t match.

Solid lubricant bushings, also known as self-lubricating bushings or bearing sleeves, are specialized components designed to minimize friction and wear between moving parts. Unlike traditional lubrication methods that require external lubricants, solid lubricant bushings incorporate solid lubricants, such as graphite or PTFE, into their structure. This self-lubricating mechanism ensures a consistent supply of lubrication over an extended period.

Self-Lubricating Bushings From specializes in providing top-quality self-lubricating bushings that are engineered to deliver exceptional performance. Their bushings feature a base structure made from strong cast bronze, which is then filled with solid lubricants like graphite. This unique composition ensures reliable and consistent self-lubrication, enhancing the lifespan of applications and contributing to long-term efficiency. offers a comprehensive range of self-lubricating bushings, including: Casting Bronze Bushing, Flanged Bronze Bushing, Thrust Washers Bearing, Sliding Plates, Linear Sliding Plates, Casting Bronze Bushing with Solid Lubricant ,Flanged Bronze Bushing with Graphite

Choose Your Copper-Based Alloys

Our Reliable Bearing Systems Are graphite-embedded copper-based alloys, Saving You Money And Hassle, Long Term.

Leaded Commercial Bronze

This alloy family is a free-machining brass with a higher electrical and thermal conductivity than that of standard free-machining brass. C31400 and C31600 both have natural corrosion resistance combined with the machinability typical of leaded brasses as well as good cold workability.

C31400 | C31600

Phospor Bronze

Phosphor bronze is an alloy of copper containing 0.5–11% tin and 0.01-0.35% phosphorus. The tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy. The phosphorus increases the wear resistance and stiffness of the alloy. These alloys are notable for their toughness, strength, low coefficient of friction, and fine grain.

Aluminum Bronze

Aluminum bronze is the highest strength standard copper-based alloy. Randall Bearings produces C95400, C95500, AMS 4880-C95510, and C95900 in standard sizes of rounds, tubes, and rectangles. Aluminum in conjunction with iron and nickel in C95500 acts as a strengthener in these alloys. All of the aluminum bronzes can be heat treated, further increasing tensile strength.

Leaded Tin Bronze

The lead content in high-leaded tin bronze alloys is between 7 percent and 15 percent. These alloys are free cutting and retain favorable thermal conductivity and good lubricity due to the lead content. Alloy C93200, also termed bearing bronze, SAE 660, SAE 660 bronze, and SAE 660 bearing bronze, is considered this family’s workhorse alloy and is widely used in many bearing applications.

Manganese Bronze

Manganese bronzes can operate under very high loads and speeds. However, bearing applications require reliable lubrication. Besides excellent mechanical qualities, these alloys have good corrosion resistance. The standard alloy in this group is high tensile C86300, which is comprised of copper, manganese, aluminum, and iron. This combination raises the tensile strength to over 110,000 KSI.
