Oilless Flanged Bushing

1 in stock

Graphite flange bushings (also known as flange bearings) are used whenever support is needed for a shaft that runs perpendicular to the bearing’s mounting surface. With this support, we can avoid problems with high speeds and heavy loads that cause shafts to flex, vibrate, or otherwise move. Dimensions on these bushings can vary; they can be manufactured in a variety of lengths, diameters, and thicknesses.

Our Oilless Bushing has been developed for high load, low-speed applications and is made of rotational cast high-strength bronze using a specially formed graphite plug as a lubricant.

Reasons for Selecting Bronze Flange Bushing Products

  • 1. Total Self-Lubricating: No oil or grease is required
The self-lubricating features allow bearings to be used where oiling is difficult, expensive to implement, and where grease/oil cannot be used. Excellent lubrication is achieved even under high loads at low speeds.
  • 2. Excellent Wear Resistance:
Excellent wear resistance is achieved under severe working conditions, such as heavy load, low velocity, reciprocating, oscillating, and intermittent motions where the formation of oil film is difficult.
  • 3. Low Coefficient of Friction: 0.04 to 0.2 typical:
Self-lubrication with specially embedded solid lubricants reduces friction.
  • 4. Wide Operating Temperature Ranges: -415° ° to 1,100° °F
Superior performance is exhibited under high and low-temperature conditions.
  • 5. Corrosion and Chemical Resistance:
Performance is not affected by water and caustic chemicals.
  • 6. Designed to Exceed Your Requirements:
High precision products with close tolerances.
  • 7. Cost Competitive:
Maintenance, replacement, and end-item downtime cost were reduced due to the exceptional service life compared to similar self-lubricating products.

Self-lubricating bearings with different metal materials

JDB-1 solid lubricant embedded bushing is a new type made from strong brass and homogeneously embedded with solid lubricant in its body. It breaks through the limit of general bearing whose lubrication depends on an oil film. So it is suitable for high temperatures. heavy duty, anti-corrosion, or where it is hard to be introduced. Its performance doubles both on hardneswear wears friction. It is now widely applied in successive casting machines, steel rollers in metallography, mineral machine, ships, steam turbine, hydraulic turbines, and injection molding machines for plastics.

Suitable for low load position, wear performance worsens greatly when under middle or high load Can be applied in furnace door linage, furnace, conveyor, tool machines, light industries, etc.

Suitable for low load position wear performance worsens when under middle or high load. The mating layer is the same as JDB-2 so that more cost-saving than JDB-2 whereas compression strength increases and is weldable. Most suitable for a dry position in the construction, metallurgical machines, conveyor machines, etc.

Very good performance when under low load. Not suitable for middle and high load. Atypical cost-saving material. Can substitute JDB-4 to be applied in the position without high requirements such as die guider, plastic injection machines, etc.

Can be used under low, middle, and high loads. Due to its superb high hardness, when under high load, it over-performs another JDB-5 type. Not suitable for water. Acid, alkali circumstances Most suitable for the supporting position of hoisting machine, e. g. bulldozer supporter, hoister supporter, reeling machine supporter, etc.

VIIPLUS Bronze Flange Bushing

Bronze Flange bearings, or flange bushings, are a bronze sintered, oil-impregnated bushing featuring a flange that is designed to support a load. Flange bushings are used at lower speeds and lighter loads while still allowing the mating shaft to slide freely within the bushing. Flange bearings are similar to cylindrical sleeve bearings, but have a flange on one end, which acts as a load-bearing surface for axial loads. They are often used in agriculture, aircraft, and automotive applications as well as in appliances, machine tools, and hydraulics.

  • Allows shaft assembly to slide freely within the bearing
  • Available in Metric and Imperial sizes
  • Does not require regular grease or oil maintenance
  • Flange provides a load-bearing surface for other components
